Leica M9 gets lucky...

As a famous golfer once said, - the more you practice the luckier you will get :) Here I got lucky as a military helicopter passed over the car as I was making the image.

Leica M9 does a spin-out at the races...

At the practice round for Saturday's race I made a few images and was lucky enough to capture this moment when one car came of the track and into the barriers;

A few rounds later and another driver lost control, but didn't end up in the barrier.

As my Summilux is in for repairs I used the M9 + 50mm Summarit.

Leica M9 does a charity Golf day...

At a recent Golf day we organized for a client I was able to squeeze-off a few images. As we where the organizers their was precious little time for making images. I would have loved to played around with the shutter speed to get some nice action drives off the tees :(

Leica M9 and the wreck...

Made this image in Kwa Zulu Natal on one of the recent trips. The car may be a rotten wreck, but the rims still shine. More on the person next to the car later.

                                                           A future cricket star.

Karate moves, - the next Chuck Norris?

                                                             Practicing goal kicking.

                                                                   Shooting hoops.

Leica M9 does Monkey sanctuary...

We went to a local monkey sanctuary to see how monkeys that were previously pets are taught to live in the wild again. The setting is beautiful with a very big natural area where the monkeys roomed free.

A tree fought its way through the rock.

This monkey was taught to steel from people, and he is still steeling stuff from visitors.

Some more beautiful vegetation in the sanctuary.

Making himself comfortable on a visitor.

As my 50 mm Summilux is in for repairs all images was made with the M9 + 50 mm Summarit.

One of the many street musicians in the city.

5 am and the streets are being prepared for the day.

Leica M9 does Lokrum Island...

A 20 minute boat ride from Dubrovnik is the small island of Lokrum. With its closeness to the city and the crystal clear waters it is a place you just have to visit.

Some of the yachts laying anchor around Dubrovnik.

A saltwater hole on the island, with no visitable link to the sea called " The dead sea"

Ruins of a discontinued Monastery on the island.

Taking a break at a minute little church on Lokrum.

The water is crystal clear and around 26 degrees!

All images made with the M9, 35 + 50 mm Lux's.

Leica M9 does the streets at 5 am in b+w in Dubrovnik, part 1...

To shoot a old city like Dubrovnik and really capture the feeling it has to be in Black and White. However, this is a very busy town and you need to be one of the first ones on the streets to capture the sleepy town.

Empty chairs outside a coffee shop waiting for the day's gossip.

At 5 am it was only I, a few local market stall owners and lots of pigeons in the streets. It was beautiful!

At the main gate, the first visitor of the day?

In a side street, more empty chairs.

                                                                   Setting up the market.

All images made with the M9, 35 + 50 mm Lux's.

Leica M9 does the streets at 5 am in b+w in Dubrovnik, part 2...

The best thing about being up so early is that you can enjoy making images, - no people in the way, it is cool and you can just take everything in so much better.

                                                               Just me and the pigeons.

A shop owner entering the town.

                                                                 Clean and ready.

Going out of town for the day.

                                                              Lone figure in the streets.

What intrigue me about this man was that he was sitting, drinking a beer at 5 am, on the steps of the church? The lady didn't pay him any attention.
